Classical Music & Dracula Dinner

After the visit to Palace of Parliament, we went to listen to some classical music at the grand Romanian Athenaeum. We had a hard time finding the place on foot (NOTE: do not trust GPS). But the trouble is surely worth it. The place is like it was brought back from past century. Playing was a 4-piece string team. Even without a microphone, the sound was heard in every corner of the hall, wonders of the architecture design. Too bad I am not into classical.

After the concert, we went to have dinner at the famous Count Dracula theme restaurant. After all, Romania is famous for this blood sucking guy. There are many theme rooms in this place, we got one with forest theme. I will personally like to try the dungeon theme.

Palace of Parliament, Bucharest, Romania

(Background) 26 Feb 07, SL, Chris and I are on a business trip to Romania for something like an exchange program. This is the first time I am going to Europe. ^^

H., the EMEA Ops manager, very kindly arrange a city tour of Bucharest for the EMEA folks and us.

We visited the Palace of Parliament which is the second biggest building in the world (first being the Pentagon, US). The building is huge beyond my comprehension. It is totally made in Romania with materials brought in from all over the country. (btw, it is so huge - it is still in construction) The guided tour took 45 minutes and we are just covering 4-5% of the whole building. o.O

Currywurst @ Frankfurt, Germany

Currywurst
Was in transit in Frankfurt, Germany on my way to Romania, after a long flight (without much sleep), I was died tried needed some food and hot drink to keep me await for the next leg of the journey.
In Frankfurt airport, I ordered a Currywurst. Interesting, I was just reading about this food on my monthly National Geographic Magazine before my trip - it is written that the Currywurst is a mus-try local disk. So there I were looking at this normal looking sausage with a normal looking red ketchup sauce. Unsure if I had ordered the wrong food (I were thinking of a more curry like sauce), I gave it a try. Mmm.... A pretty interesting taste for the sauce, it is a mixed of curry flavor with ketchup. Not bad.
Maybe you will want to try a Currywurst when you are in Germany ^^
