I have an almost endless list of places to visit, the top few picks (currently - the ranking is constantly changing) are: UK/Paris, New York, Greece.
As if that is not enough, guess what? I recently picked up a new target from an ad in the Discovery magazine - Coober Pedy, Outback, South Australia.
Something that I missed out during my 1+ year stay when I was studying in Australia was to check out the Outback, so I guess it is natural that this place attracted me.
From what I gathered from the Internet and my colleague, Coober Pedy is an opal mining town, the "Opal Captial of the World". It is in the middle of nowhere - that being somewhere in between Adelaide and Alice Springs. It has a semi-desert climate and can hit above 50° C in summer.*HOT*
Okie that dun really sounded that interesting a place yeah? But here comes the good part (eiher then the opal mines) , due the harsh climate, the settlers there live an unique buildings.. They live underground! You get underground hotels, underground churches, underground home, underground mines, underground bars, underground museum, underground whatever.... Don't you think it is cool? I am so interested in living in an underground hotel! Now that is something you do not see everyday.
- Prioritize this in my endless wishlist
- Find $$$
- Find leave
- Find travel partner
- the list goes on.............
